The SIU-SOM Andrology Fellowship is designed to enhance the basic knowledge of the management of male sexual and reproductive health via surgical and clinical experiences.
Procedures completed during the fellowship may include penile fracture repair, penile doppler, plaque incision/excision and grafting, penile implant, penile plication, priapism shunting, varicocele ligation, percutaneous sperm extraction, microTESE, vasectomy, vasovasostomy/vasoepididymostomy.
Past research projects by fellows have covered such topics as the effects of antioxidants on male fertility, minimally invasive BPH treatment, molecular pathogenesis of ED, and novel penile prosthesis devices.
The SIU-SOM Andrology Fellowship participates in the AUA match system.
