Bio:

Omer Raheem MD, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Chicago Medicine, Director of Men’s Health and Genitourinary Cancer Survivorship Programs and an active member of the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS). In his urology practice, Dr Raheem provides the most advanced and complex urologic procedures in the field of reconstructive and prosthetics urology, mens health and sexual medicine including approximately 120 Penile Implants, 25 Artificial Urinary Sphincters, 20 Male Slings, 40 Peyronie Reconstruction per year. Dr Raheem provides his expertise to a wide variety of men’s related issues and cancer survivors at the UChicago Comprehensive Cancer Center by improving quality of erectile, urinary, and reproductive health. Dr. Raheem’s research published in over 150 peer-reviewed journals and nine book chapters. He is currently an Associate Editor of Sexual Medicine, Sexual Medicine Reviews and Video Journal of Prosthetics Urology (VJPU), the official journals of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), Journal of Urology Online Content Editor and Associate Editor of the newly released Journal of Urology Open Plus (JUOP), the official journals of the American Urologic Association (AUA) and Associate Editor of Andrology, the official journal of the Asian Society of Andrology (ASA). He is currently the chair of the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM) webinar series and chair of the SMSNA international liaison committee. In conjunction of the AUA annual meeting in Chicago April 28th 2023, Dr Raheem and SUPS faculty, conducted the 1st international Live Surgical Symposium Advanced Genitourinary Reconstruction & Urologic Prosthesis course on April 27th 2023 at the University of Chicago Medical Center (Int J Impot Res. 2023 Apr 25. doi: 10.1038/s41443-023-00704-6. Online ahead of print) Dr Raheem contributed several high-quality index surgical videos in Penile Implants, Artificial Urinary Sphincters, Male Slings, Peyronie reconstruction, Transgender Prosthesis Reconstruction and Penile Fracture Repair cases recently published online at the Video Journal of Prosthetics Urology (VJPU):
