Sacral Neuromodulation (SNM) is a minimally invasive form of therapy designed for patients with symptoms including urinary incontinence and retention, urgency, fecal incontinence, and accidental bowel leakage.
The therapy is performed by the placement of a small electrical device implanted under the patient’s skin that sends small pulses to the sacral nerves, which in turn stimulate them to correct messages sent along these neural pathways.
