Dr. Tiago Cesar Mierzwa is a renowned urologist with expertise in sexual medicine, practicing in Brazil. He specializes in andrology, and completed a Fellowship in São Paulo and observership at prominent centers for prosthetic implantation in the United States. With an extensive background in penile prosthesis implantation training, including locations such as São Paulo, Barcelona, Bogotá, Miami, and Chicago, Dr. Mierzwa is recognized for his proficiency in penile prosthesis implantation and is also a pioneer in the UroFill® technique in Brazil.
He holds a master’s degree in Surgical Clinic from the Federal University of Paraná as well as prominent roles as coordinator of the Andrology Services at Nossa Senhora das Graças Hospital and Cajuru University Hospital. He also serves as the coordinator of the Andrology Fellowship at these institutions.
Dr. Mierzwa is a professor member of the Department of Sexual Medicine of the Brazilian Society of Urology and holds affiliations with several other societies, including the Brazilian Society of Urology, American Urological Association, International Society for Sexual Medicine, the Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS), and others.
He is responsible for coordinating training courses in inflatable penile prosthesis implantation for urologists and serves as a preceptor for leading companies in the field, such as Coloplast and Boston Scientific in Brazil.
As the director of the Institute of Andrology of Curitiba, Dr. Tiago Mierzwa attends to a wide variety of patients with sexual dysfunctions, being referred by colleagues for the treatment of complex cases of urological prosthetic implantation, Peyronie’s disease, and penile reconstructions.
